DPack project aimed to develop a seamless courier service platform tailored for the Dongdaemun wholesale market. The platform serves as an intermediary where wholesalers request cargo delivery services, a courier agency confirms, and the goods are picked up and processed for shipping. The project involved integrating various stakeholders, including wholesalers, pickup agents, and couriers, with a focus on providing an efficient, real-time delivery solution.
One of the key challenges of the project was understanding the complex business model, which involved multiple parties with distinct roles. Crafting a system that could accurately reflect the intricacies of the business logic while meeting the needs of each stakeholder was no small feat.
The platform supports the interactions between the different users, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient delivery. Below are some of the essential features of the system:
Challenges arose from managing multiple stakeholders with complex interactions, particularly between wholesalers, agents, and pickers. Ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication was key. This required streamlined data modeling and clear communication throughout planning, design, and development stages, highlighting the importance of collaboration and system architecture.
We set system goals and created a development roadmap, defined functions, designed the structure, implemented the user interface, and completed testing to ensure functionality and quality.
By creating a centralized platform to connect all participants—wholesalers, agents, and riders—this project has paved the way for more efficient and organized logistics in the Dongdaemun wholesale market. With a detailed, real-time overview of parcel statuses, the system enhances productivity and makes managing deliveries smoother for all stakeholders. The platform not only solves operational challenges but also enhances collaboration across the board.
